(hedi slimane for vogue homme)

Me and my siblings have been mulling over the merits of city living on the way back to London from the shire... Had the most beautiful day of basking in the countryside, sunning ourselves over a roasted lemon chicken lunch before driving back to a city shrouded in a rain cloud so dense and black it hung over it like something reminiscent of bomb aftermath. So why do we live in the city? Yeah, it's fun and there's loads to do (though funnily enough, one tends to wind up doing the same thing most of the time), and yeah it's 'the land of opportunity!' and 'where the money's at' etc. but some days, like today, i would quite like to curl up somewhere beach-side, have a really non-committal, stress-free job whilst growing myself a ruddy-cheeked tan and a fresh air diet. I'm absolutely positive i'll wake up tomorrow and feel completely and utterly different, back into the city mind frame, but right now i'm fantasizing about total simplicity. Whatever. I guess it's just one of those Sundays.
