Gimp Rabbit

Pff...

More from the rabbit

Love the trench (probably Burberry) and the horsey necklace - very Alexa Chung...

Fifi Lapin

IF ( and that is a BIG 'if') i was the sort of person that said 'OMG' then i would be saying it right now. OMG. Was i the last person or am i the first person to find Fifi Lapin, a.k.a. 'the most stylish bunny in the world' as labelled by Elle magazine? It's all just too cute, am actually wide eyed in delight at my computer right now over this ickle fashion rabbit who is not only an adorable cartoon BUT gives trend break downs, has appeared in Vogue and Elle, and is clearly the creation of an awesome little animator...
I'm not sure if i'm getting far too excited about this little discovery but if i am i'll just put it away in my little box of weirdnesses, right next to the japanese Qee toys and the rabbit my granny knitted me that still sleeps in my bed.

Walk in New York

(images from walk in new york)

Another random set of clicks on a slow afternoon, another amazing photography find. But, this one i can't even credit properly as i lost the address within seconds of saving the pictures... so, for that i'm eternally sorry... All i could glean from the tiny bit of reading i did before going one click too far is that the pictures on 'Walk in New York' are a frenchman's photographic musings on a big foreign city...

Since going to New York in August i feel like i'm so drawn to the place, like i mindlessly and subconsciously search out images of those iconic landmarks that make up the city that is now so embedded in my mind. Even Jay-Z's new song 'Empire State of Mind' brings me out in shivers and when mindless hip-hop is truly awakening emotions in you, you know there's been a ground-breaking change somewhere along the line...

These are some seriously romantic images of my favourite city. Love seeing it through someone else's eyes.

p.s. check out the old skyline in the fifth picture down, gives me chills...

Let the rain fall

(images by phil poynter)

Another set of power pics from Phil Poynter, featuring Carmen Kass (who, by the way, really let me down when she did those dodgy Maxfactor ads, urgh). Anyway, here she is, on form, sachaying through the streets of NYC. I love the way the first few shots are almost romantic, in a 'Last scene of Breakfast at Tiffany's' kind of way, but by the end they're just downright sexy.

PLUS all my posts have been so sunny of late, i felt i needed to get a little more seasonal... Autumn is officially upon us and it's time for me to accept it.

Light up my life

(images by phil poynter)

Powerful images by fashion photographer Phil Poynter. He has such a diverse style of photography, playing around not only with light and clothing but with era, setting, props and styling, creating stories behind each shoot. That said, i still think these simple black and whites are his most powerful.

The Temper Trap

Something to make you smile on this grey grey London day...

Daft Punk

Just two more... couldn't resist these epic photos of the ever-enigmatic Daft Punk..

More more more Takis

(images by takis bibelas)

Can't get enough. He's just Great with a capital G. The balloon picture reminds me of a shoot i did in Hyde Park with a couple of friends whilst at London College of Fashion a few years ago, so i'll post few (rather more amateur) shots from it soon...

Takis Bibelas

A new found love.

Amidst a dreamlike state of absent-minded time-passing/computer-clicking i managed to stumble upon photographer Takis Bibelas today... Was sucked in by this picture of a twisted Dorothy and have since discovered he does the most incredible seascapes, all taken with ancient polaroids which create the most incredible grainy, 60's surfer vibe.

What with these pictures and the slinky spring/summer clothes i've been subjected to all week, the ache for the return of sun has sprung on me ridiculously early this year (almost as ridiculous as the amount of s's used in that sentence in fact...)

And Finally... Louise Gray

Not sure if it's the dress i actually like or just this photo.
Pure. Simple. Sweet. And just a tiny bit crazy.

Matthew Williamson

Despite disliking nearly all of Williamson's previous collections bar his most recent in AW'09... this dress from his latest has made me realise that neons are most definitely back (for me anyway)...

Best of the Rest

(images from style.com)
Lissi loves: geometric at Josh Goot and Mary Katrantzou, the one and only t-shirt with an embroidered shark that i think i'll ever enjoy from Topshop Unique, ice blue and neon yellow at Jonathan Saunders, big fat knits with jersey seperates at Pringle, cutout dirty knitwear at Mark Fast, masculine cool at Fashion East, big pants and lace at the previously heinous House of Holland and last but not least Basso and Brooke, which needs no explanation apart from being generally awesome...
