ALEXANDER WANG for BALENCIAGA

My four favourite looks from the long-awaited first Alexander Wang for Balenciaga collection which turned out to be rather safe, but beautiful in places. Old Balenciaga shapes but with that urban Wang edge in the cracked leather and marbled fur. Plus some seriously covetable shoes: master-of-accessories-Alexander strikes again.

A pretty good start i'd say.

This outfit is too good. Need that Helen Yarmak fur so bad.

Part 2 of snaps from the Andaman Islands. The last lot were mostly from Havelock Island, which is the most popular island in the beautiful bunch, but is still totally chilled and has so few tourists compared to many of the other places i've visited in South East Asia.

This little lot are mostly from Neil Island. An even smaller, more remote, and shanti shanti (meaning super-relaxed and slow-paced - i.e. perfect) island to the East of Great Andaman. If by any chance you ever get yourself here, do yourself a favour and find Ram Nagar beach (or beach no.3 as they call it for us non-Hindi speaking visitors). It's hidden away, and not really spoken about, but is easily one of the most beautiful beaches i've ever laid my eyes upon. Just perfect.

I got back from the paradisiacal sejourn of a lifetime in the Andaman Islands last Sunday, and because i'm such an emotional retard i haven't been able to bring myself to post any photos until now, because every time i go though them i get a bit of a lump of dread (a.k.a. realisation that it's already over) in my throat. Pathetic i know.

I took about a billion photos, so i won't bore you with them all but here's a little selection which i'll add to at a later date.

Without waffling on, suffice it to say i've been lucky enough to visit some of the most idyllic beaches in the world before, and the Andaman Islands are definitely the home of at least two of the best. I couldn't recommend these totally relaxed and unbelievably beautiful islands any more.
