Colour block

Photobucket Photobucket
Apologies for a mega-break have been in Monaco for a few days and then Photobucket decided to be a bit cack for a couple of days. Will post photos from my holidays when i've got a bit of time tonight but in the mean time here's a couple of photos of my outfits (or the bottom half of them) since i've come back. Nothing like  a demi-tan to bring out the colour-lover in everybody. Even a monochromer like me.

Shoes//Superga, blue shorts//Reiss, black belt and red jumper//vintage, orange skirt//Sandro, green jumper//A.L.C, iPad case//Marc by Marc Jacobs.

East for the day

Photobucket
So i popped in to see the lovely Amber from Emslie Creative today, a new PR company based at the Truman Brewery on Brick Lane. She's looking after a few great brands, one of which is the gorgeous cashmere designer Madeleine Thompson so i had a bit of a raid of all her super-soft bits and pieces and had a snap taken for the Madeleine Thompson blog in my favourite, the Watson waistcoat in grey. YUM. (Worn with: sheer black shirt//H&M, knitted vest and jeans//Topshop, boots//Chloe, posture//crap).

Got some major 'shmere lust - not helped by Roxanne (who set up new PR agency Dyelog and who shares the super-cute office space) who was cruising around in the coolest hand-knitted cardigan by her client CC KUO. Seriously nice.

Here's a few more snaps from the rest of my day trying to fit in in East London.

From top: Shirt and the actual perfect Breton T from Blitz London vintage store which i finally got to today//caps and baseball jackets at Blitz//stripy Vans I intend to buy pretty much immediately//bird's eye view//graffiti on Hanbury Street of a girl wearing my Joy Division T.

All round a pretty nice day.

Stella McCartney Resort 2012

Photobucket Photobucket Photobucket Photobucket Photobucket Photobucket Photobucket
Ahh my God Stella is so achingly cool. Love the pastel and neon, and Celine-esque trouser shapes (aside from those radical kick-flares which i thought were dead and gone - but of course, McCartney can make them relevant again). Awesome Resort collection. There really is no one like her at the moment.

N.B. Also, on a personal note which is totally irrelevant but nonetheless interesting, I saw her the other day at my local pub The Cow in Westbourne Park, hanging out with her super-handsome husband Alastair and DAVID BECKHAM (i kept it really cool i swear) and she is smoking hot in real life. Most amazing figure. So there you go.

Helen Glory

It's pretty rare i stumble across a blog that i love this much. Not only because the two girls that run Helen Glory wear exactly what i wear pretty much, right down to the details - the Nike beanie, the New Balance, the flatform trainers and cut off skinnies - but because they're from London. There's obviously shed-loads of London bloggers but these are my kind of London girls, the sort that i'll probably run into now that i've seen their faces online. Plus they hang out in my favourite seaside hang out Salcombe, have already scoped out the Blitz London store that i've been meaning to go to for ages AND they look like they're having a wicked time.

Super-cool and a definite new favourite.
